"The care of the earth is our most ancient and most worthy and, after all, our most pleasing responsibility.

To cherish what remains of it, and to foster its renewal, is our only legitimate hope."

Wendell Berry                       The Unsettling of America

ATTENTION!

The PFPA Fall Conference will be held October 21st and 22nd at the Chestnut Ridge Conference Center in Blairsville, PA. There will be a “tour day” on the 21st and the meeting/conference will be held on the 22nd.

Several local farms and the Conemaugh Dam will be part of the tour tentatively being planned to begin at 11:00. Dinner on the 21st will be held at the Pine Ridge Lodge near Chestnut Ridge Conference Center. This lodge has two large rooms with fireplaces and overlooks a private lake in the woods. And, best yet – PFPA attendees will have the park all to themselves for the evening!

More information will be sent regarding costs/schedule/etc; however, we wanted to be sure you have time to get this on your calendar and start the necessary preparations to attend!
